Celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Voting Rights Act and the 80th Anniversary of the Desegregation of the University of Maryland

Professor Emeritus David S. Bogen
University of Maryland Carey School of Law
Prof. Bogen will give historical slide presentation about voting rights in Maryland, including the involvement of lawyer Francis King Carey and the School of Law.

Professor Kali Murray
Marquette University Law School
Prof. Murray will speak about the career of her grandfather, Donald Gaines Murray, who desegregated the School of Law as a student, and the University of Maryland as a lawyer.

Professor Larry S. Gibson
University of Maryland Carey School of Law
Prof. Gibson will unveil exhibits about voting rights in Maryland, university segregation, Donald Gaines Murray, and Thurgood Marshall.

A reception will follow Prof. Bogen and Prof. Murray's presentations.
